In collaboration with Scott King, we celebrate the appearance of - in 1984, at the height of the Miners Strike - on C4' The Tube of The Redskins - the greatest punk/soul band of that era. Of any era.

The band ripped through 2 fierce tracks - but it was most memorable for a speech by a striking miner - Norman Strike. You could see him spitting out his words with a passion. You just couldn't hear him. The mic had been switched off. It was, after all, 1984.

You hear the speech at the beginning of this tape - then we have musical interpretation from Autumns, Blue 0161, Laudanum, Richard Vergez & Halfnelson.
